On Friday, February 28, we hosted our colleagues from the Szentendre Open Air Museum from Hungary. The reason for the visit is the opening of additional content „Makerspace“, therefore the emphasis during the tour of the museum „Staro selo“ Kumrovec is placed on the way of achieving cooperation with connoisseurs of traditional skills, craft presentation and museum-educational programs in the Museum „Staro selo“ Kumrovec.

Curator Tihana Kušenić made a tour around museum through permanent exhibitions and emphasized the specificity of the Museum "Staro selo" Kumrovec as the largest in situ museum in Croatia, which shows visitors the way of life at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century with its museum exposures.

During the tour of the museum, traditional crafts were presented by our long-time external collaborators - masters of traditional crafts and skills. We also touched on the topic of the project „CRAFTATTRACT-Traditional crafts as a new attraction for cultural tourism“, during which we achieved new collaborations with connoisseurs of traditional heritage.

During the tour of the museum we presented to our colleagues museum's educational program for children and adults „Izradi lonč (ić)ariju“, which was led by museum pedagogue Mateja Harapin.
